I heard the original song on the radio a number of times, and could never get the lyrics out of my head. Inspired by the intimacy of the story, set as a conversation with his yet-to-be-born daughter, I wanted to set the song as something slightly more akin to a lullaby; a song that could be sung to one's own child with a guitar at their bedside. Add a little bass and a little shaker to help with the flow and the arc of the arrangement, and you get this: my cover of Cecilia and the Satellite. I hope you enjoy it!
